Abstract

A Novel Fuzzy-Sliding Mode control scheme for single phase grid connected LC filter VSI has been proposed in this paper. The Sliding Mode control used here is easy to implement since it uses only two state variables, Capacitor Voltage and grid current as the model design consist of LC filter. A Fuzzy logic controller is also used here to generate pulses for the four IGBT switches of Single-phase Inverter. In addition to this, this paper also shows a comparative study of control outputs of Single phase VSI with SMC, Fuzzy and SMC-Fuzzy. It has been shown that the THD, grid current, output voltage shows a better result in case of SMC-Fuzzy. Simulation results show that proposed strategy exhibits all the required qualities of a good controller like robust to parameter variation, fast dynamic response, good steady state performance and reduced THD.
