Abstract
Now-a-days, the scope of electric power systems has significantly expanded, encompassing power generating, transmission, and distribution systems. Currently, the six-phase transmission system holds the most importance among multi-phase transmission systems. However, it is even more critical to carefully plan and defend such a multi-phase system during fault circumstances. The power system networks and its equipment often experience various forms of problems when operating in an active state. In order to safeguard the multi-phase transmission system, a fault protection strategy is implemented to enhance the stability of the power system in the event of different faults. A problem identification method is necessary in order to promptly address and rectify malfunctioning circumstances. This work presents a new fault protection method for safeguarding the six phase transmission system under different failure scenarios. The scheme utilizes external trip-logic and is implemented using the Matlab/Simulink tool. The outcomes of the implementation are illustrated.
