Abstract
ABSTRACT This paper is concerned with the development of a simple and effective switching strategy suitable for current fed PWM active power filters. A modified equal sampling technique is proposed together with the performance results based on the well known harmonic distortion factor. The significant advantage of the new approach is that unlike the previous methods, it does not require solution of complex non-linear harmonic equations. Therefore, the computation burden is very low which means that practical implementation is realizable in a cost effective manner without sacrificing performance.
