Abstract

A novel blind adaptive multiuser detection algorithm for DS-CDMA based on interference subspace estimation is presented. In the new algorithm, the signal subspace is composed of the signature waveform of the desired user and the estimated interference subspace spanned by the signature waveforms of the interfering users. The proposed multiuser detector offers substantial performance improvement over the recently proposed multiuser detectors based on signal subspace estimation with little attendant increase in computational complexity. Numerical simulation results are provided to support our claims.
