Abstract

The fixed frequency sliding mode control method for this project is a single-phase grid-connected LCL filtered quasi-Z-source inverter (QZSI). In the proposed method, smoothing is applied to the function of the sliding surface, thereby eliminating jitter and achieving a fixed switching frequency. The smoothing process is performed by passing the function of the sliding surface through a narrow boundary layer. To mitigate steady state errors due to smoothing, a PIC controller is used to handle current grid errors and determine the capacitor voltage reference required in the SMC. The DC output of the battery is converted to AC using a DC AC inverter after withstanding or increasing demand. The inverter function must change the DC input voltage to the desired voltage and voltage as the asymmetric AC output voltage achieved through the control branches of Quasi by using simple boost control technology.
