Abstract

To alleviate ciprofloxacin contamination in water environment, a novel 1D/2D rod-sheet shape Cu3Mo2O9/g-C3N4 heterojunction photocatalyst was fabricated by an ultrasound-assisted approach in this work. The results exhibited that the Cu3Mo2O9/g-C3N4 heterojunction photocatalyst sample decorated with 20% Cu3Mo2O9 eliminated 83% ciprofloxacin (20 mg/L) within 3 h, which was 2.59 and 1.84 times as much as bare Cu3Mo2O9 and g-C3N4, respectively. In addition, it remained outstanding stability after five repetitive photo-degradation processes. Eventually, the photocatalytic mechanism of enhancing CPFX activity by Cu3Mo2O9/g-C3N4 heterojunction photocatalyst was deduced.
