Abstract

Expressions for the amplitude and the intensity of resonantly scattered Mossbauer radiation are found within the classical dispersion theory. The influence of the electronic part of the complex index of refraction is taken into consideration in the calculations. It is shown that the interference between electronic and nuclear resonant scattering can be observed in time-differential Mössbauer scattering experiments.
