Abstract
Following some ideas initially advanced by Eddington, we consider first the mathematical possibility of ‘self’ interference in diffusional processes. Subsequently, we consider the results of computer simulation of the two-slit experiment using iterated fractal maps and finally some real experiments suggested by Walter and Scully using quantum eraser. In the light of this discussion it is concluded that the hypothetical particles, cantorions, which are supposed somehow to carry information in a cantorian micro space-time may be ascribed real existence. These so called informions could then be drawn upon to explain the new experimental insights besides or as an alternative to Higgs bosons.
