Abstract

Global duality and absence of exotics are shown to be sufficient to require decoupling of leading isovector trajectories from Δ Δ scattering and from all charge exchange B B reactions with exotic s-channel quantum numbers. Breaking duality or modifying Pomeranchuk conjectures does not avoid the difficulty. Either appreciable exotic contributions are present in the FESR or the leading trajectories are decoupled from all processes involving decuplet baryons.
