Abstract

An ultra-wideband (UWB) low noise amplifier (LNA) with current reuse topology and RL feedback is proposed. The design, analysis and simulation of this LNA are done in 90nm CMOS process. The current reuse structure reduces the power consumption and feedback network makes good impedance and noise matching. The proposed LNA shows power gain of 15 dB and input return loss less than -12 dB in the full UWB frequency band. Simulation shows the LNA has the group delay about $\pmb{40\pm}$ 13 ps. Noise figure (NF) of $\pmb{3.8\pm 0.1\text{dB}}$ was obtained in the UWB frequency range of 3.1-10.6 GHz. The power dissipation of the circuit is 7.8 mW from a 1V power supply. The simulation plots of IIP3 about -13 dBm, at 4.5 GH.
