Abstract
A new species of Laelaps (Acari: Laelapidae) belonging to the Juxtapositus species-group, L. sulawesiensis , from Maxomys hellwaldi, M. musschenbroekii, Rattus hoffmanni and R. marmosurus collected in Sulawesi, Indonesia, is described. Notes on and a key to the 8 species in the group are presented.
