Abstract

Abstract A new species of Dalea Sect. Parosela (Fabaceae: Amorpheae) from Mexico. Brittonia 56: 67–71. 2004.—Dalea rupertii is proposed as new. It differs from previously known species in having calyx teeth with both spurred (1–2) and blister glands (4–6), and leaves 7–17 mm long, bearing 4–5 pairs of leaflets. It is known only from the southern portion of the state of Durango, Mexico. A description, a comparative table, and an illustration are provided. A new species of Dalea sect. Difiere de las especies previamente conocidas por la presencia de glandulas tanto espueliformes (1–2), como ampulosas (4–6) en los dientes del caliz, hojas cortas de 7–17 mm largo y 4–5 pares de foliolos. Solo se conoce de la region sur del estado mexicano de Durango. Se presentan una descripcion, tabla comparativa e ilustracion.
