Abstract

A first transition–metal coordination polymer [CuH2L(H2O)]n (1) based on a new mixed N-/O-donors 5-[2-carboxy-3-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-phenoxy]-isophthalic acid (H4L), which exhibits a 2D 3-connected polymeric network, has been presented and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR and TGA. It has prominently displayed highly photocatalytic degradation activity for dye degradation as well as antiferromagnetic interactions between the adjacent CuII ions.
