Abstract

A new implementation of “complex frequency-shifted (CFS)” perfectly matched layer (PML) is introduced for the alternating direction implicit finite-difference time-domain method. Because of the use of auxiliary differential equation (ADE), this new implementation is more straightforward and memory saving. Numerical results show that the absorption of CFS-PML using ADE as well as that of CFS-PML using convolution integration formulation is suggested earlier. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
