Abstract

Abstract Three new species and one new genus of tydeid mites are added to the list of 41 species of 12 genera already known from Sweden. Quadrotydeus sleipneri n.gen., n.sp. was collected from moss and lichens on tree-trunks and on the soil surface, Tydeus gerei n.sp. from lichens and moss on tree trunks, and from wood mold, and Tydeus frekei n.sp. from moss on the soil surface and tree trunks, from bark of trees and from wood mold. All new taxa are defined and illustrated.
