Abstract

ABSTRACT A new genus and three new species of eriophyoid mites from South China are described and illustrated: Agenuseta euryae gen. nov. & sp. nov. infesting Eurya sp. (Theaceae) belongs to the subfamily Phyllocoptinae, Diptilomiopus sloaneae sp. nov. infesting Sloanea sinensis (Hance) Hu. (Elaeocarpaceae) and Kaella menlunensis sp. nov. infesting Celtis sinensis Pers. (Cannabaceae) belong to the subfamily Diptilomiopinae. All three new species are vagrants on leaves of their host plants causing no visible damage.
