Abstract
In this paper, a new pattern of call admission control (CAC) scheme termed as defined limited fractional channel scheme (DLFC) is proposed considering two dimensional Markov process. This CAC scheme divided all channels into three parts as non-priority, fractional priority and integral priority scheme for new calls and handover calls. The fractional priority of this scheme is provided by fractional acceptance rate. The two important parameters of quality of service (QoS) in single service wireless network, known as new call blocking probability (NCBP) and handover call dropping probability (HCDP) are analyzed under this DLFC scheme. Besides we compare these results with new thinning scheme and cut-off priority scheme and we have shown that our proposed scheme is better than them in the context of QoS. Furthermore, we have shed light on the impact of the number of fractional channels and acceptance rate where we found that DLFC scheme can reduce the HCDP remaining NCBP almost constant.
