Abstract

In this paper a new circuit configuration employing voltage differencing current conveyor (VDCC) active elements have been proposed, which simulates the behaviour of a parallel grounded resistance (R)-inductance (L) network. The presented circuit employs a single VDCC along with two ground passive elements. The reported design has various advantages like; suitability for on-chip realization, the facility of electronic tuning for simulated inductance and capacitance, no requirement for matched active/passive parameters, low sensitivity indexes and excellent performance under non-ideal and parasitic conditions. On a slight variation in the proposed circuit, the independent electronic tuning of both equivalent resistances, as well as the inductance, can be achieved. In order to validate the behaviour of the developed circuit, a current-mode filter has been designed. All the circuits proposed in this paper have been simulated in the PSPICE environment.
