Abstract

Douglasia idahoensis, a new species endemic to Idaho and Valley counties, Idaho, a close relative of D. montana, is characterized by its succulent foliage, several-flowered umbels, 5–9 lanceolate bracts, short peduncles, and allopatric distribution. Chromosome number is reported as n = 18. Previous taxonomic works have included this species either with D. montana or with D. laevigata.
