Abstract
The new dispatch control system has a set of special features both in configuration and functions. The new designed RTUs provide local supvisory capability. A system clock for SOE of power grid is designed. The central control system is a guadruple machine system: a dual Intel 8086 and a dual PDP 11. The mimic board is connected to front end Intel 8086. For reducing load of PDP11 some data preprocessing work is assigned to FE. The fault of primary computer can be detected by two ways. The man-machine communication is a first full Chinese character system in power industry. The function of this control system at present time is SCADA with SOE and record for post mortem analysis. The AGC and some of power application software will be added before the end of this year. This system has already been in operation in the power grid of southwestern China.
