Abstract
The energy of the thermal-neutron capture γ ray of hydrogen has been measured with a Ge(Li) detector. The observed value is 2223.351 ± 0.046 keV; the corresponding value for the deuteron binding energy is 2224.668 ± 0.046 keV.
