Abstract

The decomposition method (Adomian[1–2]) is extended to inversion of very large matrices. Numerical examples demonstrate rapidly converging approximants in a form convenient for computer computation. Analytic representations are derived for the deterministic case. Decomposition is shown to be a new method for inversion of matrices and outside the classes of direct methods and relaxation methods.
