Abstract

Single-phase grounding faults occur frequently in distribution network. Extinguishing the arc caused by faults quickly can improve the reliability of power supply and the stability of the system. In this paper, the working principle of arc suppression coil and transfer arc-suppression is analyzed, and combined with the characteristics of the two devices, a new method of arc suppression with two sets of devices is put forward, which can flexibly control the input and exit of transfer arc-suppression according to the nature of the fault, and solve the disturbance problem of arc suppression equipment caused by a short time fault. Finally, a distribution network model is built in PSCAD to verify the reliability of the proposed method.
