Abstract
The fractional derivative approximations offer many approaches to understanding real‐world problems. The conformable fractional derivative operator that is one of the fractional derivative operators has recently attracted a lot of interesting. In this paper, a new approach to the directional derivative obtained with the help of the conformal fractional derivative is presented. Considering this approach, the definition of the fractional partial derivative is reformulated. In addition, a new definition of fractional gradient, fractional curl, and fractional divergence is given, and the properties of these new concepts are examined.
