Abstract

A new approach is presented for the design of three-channel perfect reconstruction (PR) FIR filter banks employing linear-phase analysis and synthesis filters. The approach formulates the design as a quadratic programming problem with nonlinear constraints. The design technique is extendable to M-channel (M/spl ges/2), and this extension is currently under development. >
