Abstract
The American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology (AAOO) began its long and successful journey from Kansas City, Mo, over three-quarters of a century ago. 1 The two specialties have decided to have separate meetings, and the Division of Ophthalmology will test its wings when it meets in Kansas City from Oct 22 through 26, 1978. Our responsibility toward our division can be best served through participation in the forthcoming meeting. This means more than setting aside time and attending the full meeting, which in itself represents a major commitment. It means sharing with others new insights or observations relating to treatment, diagnosis, or understanding of eye disease. To this end the academy invites you to take advantage of the expanded program and exhibit space which will be available this year and submit abstracts of superior papers and displays for consideration by March 1, 1978, to the secretary for evaluation by
