A music-lessons as culture and arts-education for culture and arts instructor curriculum: <Choir lessons for all ages> as an example

Abstract

현행 문화예술교육사 제도의 음악과교육과정의 지침서에는 ‘문화예술교육으로써 음악교육’에 대해 명시하고 있지만 실제는 이에 대한 정확한 지침과 교육내용이 확립되지 못한 채 시행되고 있다. 이러한 점에 기인하여 본 논문에서는 ‘문화예술교육으로써 음악교육’의 이념과 목표를 적용한 프로그램의 실제 <모든 연령층을 위한 합창수업>을 개발하고자 한다. 이 프로그램은 문화예술교육의 속성을 음악교육에 접목시켜 4단계, 15차시 음악활동내용으로 구성하였다. 그 내용은 전 세대를 아우르는 모두를 위한 음악교육, 기능중심보다는 수강자들의 참여와 아이디어를 반영한 즐기고 나누는 음악활동, 교사중심의 수직적인 학습형태를 벗어난 소통과 공감을 통한 학습운영, 다양한 음악적 표현방법의 시도, 고전과 현대, 동양과 서양의 음악어법, 시와 영상 등을 포괄하는 융복합적 방식을 추구한다. 이러한 합창교육프로그램의 예시를 통해 문화예술교육사에게 ‘문화예술교육으로써 음악교육’에 대한 이해를 돕고 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 교육내용과 방법에 대한 안내가 되고자 한다.According to ‘the directory of music education’ within ‘Culture and Art Education instructor system,’ music education should be the culture and art education. However, the system has been doing without specific directions and well-designed curricula. At this point, this study aims at presenting <Choir lessons for all ages>, which reflects the idealogical goals of ‘music lesson as Culture and Arts Education. I applied the characteristics of culture and art education to music education, and then utilized it into 4-stages and 15-session activities. The contents of <Choir lessons for all ages> include the following activities: music education for all ages; enjoyable-centered approach rather than function-centered approach; the learning through communicative and sympathetic activities; and attempt to the various musical expressions. This program also includes the multi-disciplinary approaches; classical and modern, oriental and western, poem and image, and so on. With this program of <Choir lessons for all ages>, culture and art education instructors will be provided not only the understanding of music education as arts and culture education, but also the guidance of applicable methods and contents in the leaning classes.
