Abstract

The nonlinear oscillations of a spherical gas bubble in a compressible viscous liquid subject to the action of a sound field are investigated by the multiscale perturbation method. Approximate analytical solutions for the transient oscillations in the regions of the main resonance, first and second harmonic, and first and second subharmonic, are obtained to second order in the expansion.
