Abstract

This paper presents a multiband multifunctional metasurface performing both linear and circular polarization conversion. The unit cell of the proposed metasurface consists of fish like structure. The frequency bands in which linear polarization conversion is achieved with 90% efficiency are 9.7-11.66 GHz and 19.2-20.8 GHz. Circular polarization conversion is also achieved with the unique design of metasurface at two frequency bands of 9.13-9.34 GHz and 12.9-17.8 GHz. Furthermore, metasurface is angularly stable against oblique incidences up to 45°. The multiband and multifunctional structure can be used for many applications like satellite communication, radar cross section reduction, navigation system and radar tracking.
