Abstract

Optimization design of high frequency transformer (HFT) used in 0.9/3.6kV, 6MW modular isolated DC/DC photovoltaic converter is presented in this paper. The process of magnetic core and winding parameters design of HFT is introduced. The traditional method usually has low degree of freedom and is difficult to obtain the optimal solution with accuracy and rapidity. In order to solve the sophisticated optimization problem, an antlion optimizer (ALO) design solution of solid dielectric insulation HFT with weighted optimization objective of efficiency and power density is proposed. The optimal point diagrams corresponding to different power density and efficiency under given dielectric insulation distance are illustrated, and the optimal curves under different optimization weights are shown. Finally, a protype of 30kW HFT is designed and manufactured, the finite element analysis (FEA) and experimental test of parasitic parameters are carried out.
