Abstract

It is a smart choice to choose Nanocrystalline alloy for the high frequency transformer core, due to its attractive magnetic properties. Meanwhile, the Litz-wire can minimize the copper loss and had been widely used in designing of high frequency transformer. In this paper, the magnetic properties of Nanocrystalline alloy is tested, the core loss of high frequency transformer with Nanocrystalline core is calculated. Meanwhile, the copper loss of high frequency transformer with Litz-wire is calculated, in addition a method is proposed for design and optimization of high frequency transformer with nanocrystalline core and Litz-wire, the electromagnetic and thermal performances are evaluated by finite element method.
