Abstract
This paper proposes a smartphone application for monitoring and measuring the energy usage in real time with wireless communication. The goal of paper is aimed to develop a utility application run on the Android platform as mobile interaction system to communicate, monitor, and compute the power consumption through the integrated metering circuit (IMC). The Bluetooth technique is used to transmit and receive the data frame between smartphone and meter circuit. In addition, the analysis and comparison data features allow the users to evaluate their energy usage. Through the experimental result, the effectiveness of utility application is validated.
