Abstract
Simple models for polydisperse systems formed by association equilibria are presented. The heat of association can be determined by comparing the temperature dependence and the concentration dependence of the system. Relations between concentration, mean degree of association, and mean radius of gyration have been derived for model systems. In the last section it is shown that under certain circumstances a solvate shell does not disturb the determination of particle weights by means of small-angle X-ray scattering.
