Abstract

Supply Chain System is a complex large scale system. In the paper, the complexity of supply chain system determined by the characteristics of its structures and operation patterns has been described by the computation based on All Set Theory. Also a model of intelligent supply chain system has been built. Besides, the sick supply chain system has been discussed through the problem equation and the bargaining model for matter-element transformation. Keywords: Supply Chain System All Set Theory Extenics Emergence Matter-element Sick Supply Chain 1 The Complexity of Supply Chain System Complexity exists in the systems. The complexity of open complex giant system(OCGS) can be subdivided into three layers: (1) The complexity of physics, such as the complexity of atmosphere and weather forecast; (2) The complexity existing in living system, such as ecosystems, Artificial Life systems; (3) The complexity existing in social economic system, such as market economy, international politics. Any complex system is synthesized by the complexity in three layers that mentioned above and the result of the uncertainty behaviors and emergence of interactions of these three layers. Moreover, the complexity existing in living system is dominant with its intelligence and autonomous. As a typical OCGS with lots of complexity, Supply chain system is a network system composed of bidirectional tree structures around its core enterprise. In the paper, the complexity management and diagnosis of supply chain system has been discussed based on cognition model of All Set Theory and some approaches of diagnosing the sick supply chain system have been present.
