Abstract

A new method for determining the nature of thoughts in real time and reflecting them in maps of the cognitive space in humans was developed. The method is based on two approaches developed in our previous studies: a) determination of the nature of thoughts in real time from EEG rhythms using a simple artificial neural network as the classifier and b) construction of maps of the cognitive space in humans based on introducing metrics into the space of rhythmic EEG patterns established on execution of cognitive tasks of different types. We plan to use the technology developed here as tool for studying thinking.
