Abstract

We reported a mid-infrared passively Q-switching Er:YSGG pulse laser based on Ti3C2Tx MXene saturable absorber. Its shortest pulse width was 335 ns with the repetition rate of 207 KHz. As far as we know, it was the shortest pulse compared with those of other 3 µm solid state laser based on MXene saturable absorbers. It improved the performance of 3 µm Q-switching pulse laser to some extent, and implied MXene could be a promising Q-switching element to produce mid-infrared pulse laser.
