Abstract
A dislocation relaxation model is proposed for depicting the distribution of plastic strain at crack tip. The general form of the strain field at crack tip is given based on the linear elastic solution and H.R.R. solution for the strain field of the crack tip. Tensile tests have been performed under SEM and the test results are in good agreement with the expression for the strain field obtained.
