Abstract
Summary Reconstruction of geological surfaces is an important foundation of geological modeling and contour map application. The existing geologic surface reconstruction methods mainly consider the vertical faults and normal faults constraints to generate surface. In the west of China and many other parts of the world, reverse fault structures abound. So, it is meaningful to research the ways to reconstruct geological surface with reverse fault. Geological surface with reverse fault is considered as Multi-valued surface reconstruction in the field of computational geometry. This paper proposes a new method to reconstruct multi-valued geological surfaces with reverse fault. Multi-valued geological surface reconstruction researched in this paper is a reconstruction of horizon data with reverse fault polygon constraints (horizon data with reverse fault can be regarded as spatial scattered points cloud). With the constraints of reverse fault polygons drawn by interpreters, we combine constraint Delaunay triangulation techniques with surface local subdivision method to achieve the reconstruction of multivalued geological surface.
