Abstract
A method for the extraction, separation and estimation by radioimmunoassay of unconjugated estrone, estradiol-17α, and estradiol-17β present in a single plasma sample has been described. The accuracy, sensitivity and precision of the method has been evaluated using bovine and ovine peripheral plasma samples. The overall sensitivity of the method is 11 pg for estrone, 13 pg for estradiol-17β and 34 pg for estradiol-17α.
