Abstract

A method for calibrating scintillation γ-ray spectrometers used in some applications as parts of multicrystal arrays is described. Using this method, it is possible to calibrate each spectrometer in an array at the same time as taking conventional measurements. In this case, the operating parameters of the spectrometers can be automatically corrected in response to variations in the environmental conditions and the performance characteristics of the spectrometric channels (including the scintillators) can be continuously monitored.
