Abstract
AbstractA transition metal‐free cascade synthesis of amides from alcohols was developed. Various alcohols reacted with N‐hydroxyimides by tert‐butyl nitrite to generate N‐hydroxyimide esters. The resulting active esters were subsequently reacted with amines to generate amides in one pot. Further, we have illustrated the application of the developed protocol in synthesizing anti‐Alzheimer compounds. A detailed mechanistic exploration was also carried out.
