Abstract

A meson exchange model for the K+-nucleon interaction is presented, which is constructed along the same guidelines as those applied in the Bonn model for theN–N interaction. Single vector-meson exchange provides the dominant features; however, higher-order diagrams involvingN, Δ, K and K* intermediate states turn out to be essential for a good description of the empirical data.
