Abstract

Respect for the human being is a precept to be taught and educated, a principle to act as a guarantee for human rights, since they concern the rights and freedoms of the human being. The school is a means by which one contributes to the "literacy" for the respect, for the teaching of contents and values that subsidize the human formation, task of first responsibility of the family. And so to be, that the environment outside the school influence, because the child and the adolescent carry their origins, so that in an environment of violence, the reflexes in school and learning arise and represent obstacles to the realization of human rights and to dialogue with society. Thus, the problem lies in the dimension of acts of violence in the basic school environment that challenge pedagogical mediation for the realization of fundamental human rights.
