Abstract

Abstract During the densitometric follow-up of a 73-yr-old male suffering from bullous pemphigoid and glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis, a marked increase in bone mineral density (BMD) led to the diagnosis of an asymptomatic prostatic cancer with secondary diffuse bone lesions. This eventuality must be considered in patients with a rapid and unexplained gain in BMD.
