Abstract
Pathologic scar, a common disease involving dermal fibrotic disorder caused by an aberrant wound-healing response, afflicts over 100 million people every year worldwide. Unlike normal scars, pathologic scars, such as hypertrophic or keloid scars, can be highly disfiguring and have major psychological impact on the patients ( Trace et al., 2016 Trace A.P. Enos C.W. Mantel A. Harvey V.M. Keloids and hypertrophic scars: a spectrum of clinical challenges. Am J Clin Dermatol. 2016; 17: 201-223 Crossref PubMed Scopus (65) Google Scholar ). Molecular therapies provide potential solutions for the disease when it could not be improved by current available therapies.
