Abstract
When we decided to merge the Journal of Polymer Science Parts A&B, we were confident that the unified journal would serve the community better by publishing the best polymer research from all subfields of polymer science. Though we have faced various challenges in the past two years, the ongoing support from our authors, reviewers, board members, and the entire editorial team helped the journal thrive throughout the transition period. With the Journal Citation Report released earlier this year, the journal received its “first” partial Impact Factor of 3.046 among other related metrics, such as immediacy index (0.816), Eigenfactor (0.00142), and Journal Citation Indicator (0.57). At the close of 2022, one of our editors, Professor Tae-Lim Choi, will be stepping down from his role in the journal. We are truly grateful for his excellent work at the journal. Prof. Choi will continue supporting the journal as an Editorial Advisory Board member. We are delighted to welcome our new editor at the Journal of Polymer Science, Professor Andrew Dove. In closing, I encourage you to nominate a young polymer scientist for the Journal of Polymer Science Innovation Award. The nominations will be accepted until January 31, 2023.
