Abstract
The design and application of an inexpensive logging multichannel averager is described. The device records the presence or absence of events within 4096 consecutive 25 ns intervals, here called channels, and uses channel by channel summation to construct a temporal profile. The device operates under the software control of a personal computer and its use in the study of decaying plasmas is discussed.
