Abstract

ABSTRACT After the outbreak of the pandemic, research on COVID-19 has increased substantially. This study provides a literature review of COVID-19 research in the field of public administration. Applying a Structural Topic Model (STM), this review analyzes 710 articles. The analysis identifies and maps the 27 most salient topics. We find that the popularity of most topics remains highly robust over time. We also find that the salience of the topics depends strongly on the journal and origin of the author and less on the internationality of the research team. Based on this comprehensive analysis, potential areas for research and theory development are explored.
