Abstract
An integrated prototype of a new linear magneto-optical imager dedicated to real time inspection of large planar metallic structures is presented. The system provides images of the resulting normal magnetic field at the surface of the inspected structure, in amplitude and phase, in order to enable full defect characterization such as 3D image inversion. First raw images were obtained with an integrated linear magneto-optical imager, during the inspection of a flawed riveted lap joint mock-up similar to actual aeronautical structures.
