Abstract

Aside from questions of where to travel during a pandemic, where does one travel to follow eco conscious principles? First steps are to limit travel distance to a maximum of 150 kilometres, establishing a local agenda, and to source the construction materials on the same basis: local and ecologically sound. The design consists of three core elements, a central restaurant building, big and small huts. None of these conform to standard ideas of luxury as the idea of eco consciousness is based upon wellness principles, connection to nature and accessibility. treading lightly on a grass hill side.
